Everything I could want in a Mexican restaurant. Warm and friendly service from start to finish. A variety of foods and the best is everything was delicious. I had a short rib birra to die for. It shouted home made. A mano. My husband had a chicken mole perfectly done with rich flavor. I've left many Mexican restaurants in southern Monmouth because of tasteless dishes and poor service. The food is very good. Flavored to perfection. Each time I go I try different meals. The owner and workers are pleasant and friendly. I usually get my food to go and it's still always delicious. I've actually sat in there one time with my daughter and it was awesome. We enjoyed the feel of the restaurant.
Delicious authentic dishes! The tacos and consommé had great flavor. Pasta dish was great too. Torta sandwich had nice soft bread. Would definitely visit again.

This place has such a relaxed and casual vibe, with upbeat music and sincere and helpful staff. The menu is full of authentic dishes, and everything I tried was bursting with flavor. We ordered chicken tinga tacos, steak tacos, their signature shrimp dish, and of course a tres leche to end the meal with a sweet treat. Oaxaca by the Sea is truly a gem.

Amazing food! I read the great Yelp reviews and they were spot on. Try their spicy or mild mole sauce; Oaxanan cuisine is known for their Mike. I tried their shrimp and pasta with sausage in chipotle sauce; delicious and an enormous serving. Terrific, friendly service. The food is made to order and it may take a while, but it's worth the wait.
We finally tried Oaxaca and are soo glad we did! We got two items for takeout: cheese enchiladas with green sauce and quesabirria tacos. Both were colorful, flavorful, filling, and out of this world!! There are tables to dine in, so this isn't just a takeout joint. Highly recommend this authentic little spot. The woman behind the counter was very pleasant and accommodating, too.
